Israel Buenaobra
Israel’s unique style of comedy comes from his unique upbringing. Hailing from the mountainous city of Baguio he delivers high-altitude observations that people from the metro do not pick on easily. He is also not afraid of getting down and dirty. His sharp punches that stem from his insecurities of being fat since birth and the difficulties of co-parenting his daughters while being separated from his wife will definitely hit you so hard, that you’ll end up in stitches. Israel is also one of the few who makes a living out of being funny. Writing jokes for himself also gave him an opening to write for various sitcoms and gag shows that have aired on several major TV networks in the Philippines.
Yuki Horikoshi
Doing comedy is hard as it is. But doing it in your non-native tongue is justa whole different level. Yuki does it every night. Yuki is a Japanesecomedian from Saitama who studied under and joined Yoshimoto, theircountry’s largest comedy talent agency, straight out of high school. After grinding in comedy obscurity for 9 years, Yuki needed a change andapplied to be one of Yoshimoto’s exports. This landed him in thePhilippines, where he immediately adapted to the culture, language, andhumor. With the aid of his trusty sketchpad, Yuki pokes fun at himself andthe mishaps of being a foreigner living in an unfamiliar land, all whilewowing the audience on his command of the Filipino language. Now, if wecan only get is papers in order… kidding! He’s legal!
